On ten floors, five above and five below ground, the dome-shaped complex made of steel and glass between Terminals 1, 2 and 3 offers a wide range of activities for a pleasant stay. Whether it's a stopover or a destination for locals, the Jewel is open to the public. There is a lot to discover on 137,000 square metres.
The heart of the Jewel is the 40-metre high waterfall in the middle of the glass dome. It stretches over 7 of the 10 floors. All around is a rain forest with thousands of trees and bushes with walking paths.
In addition, there is a gigantic mall with countless entertainment possibilities as free cinema and sports facilities. In Terminal 2 there is the orchid garden, more than 700 kinds of orchids can be admired.
What can you do at the Jewel? Plenty! (First of all of course, we are in Singapore,) shopping, 280 shops and restaurants are waiting for you to open your wallet. Then there is a big garden (Forest Valley), which reminds more of a jungle. The "Canopy Park" is an amusement park with a big glass floor slide, maze, mirror cabinet and more. Some attractions cost admission, some of them not too cheap. You should plan enough time for a visit to the Jewel, then it is surely a nice experience.
